We don’t work with individuals, FDC declines coalition, says People Power isn’t a party

By Francis Otucu

Opposition Forum for Democracy Wednesday opened up on a possibility to have a coalition with pressure group, People Power.

Party’s Secretary General argued, People Power isn’t a political party.

“We can’t enter into a coalition with People Power because it is not a political party,” Nandala Mafabi told the Daily Monitor.

A party cannot merge with individuals, he added.

Mafabi noted that Bobi Wine pulls crowds as a musician, not a politician.

“They can’t do much unless they form themselves into a party. People are coming to him not because he is a good politician but a musician.

For some time now, there has been talks of a political coalition in a bid to defeat incumbent, President Yoweri Museveni in the 2021 general polls.
