NANSANA: MTN continues to reward MoMo pay users

Several MTN customers will always use MoMo pay to pay for goods and services and services after the telecom company rewarded them with shopping worth Shs1million each.


After discovering the convenience and ease with which cashless payments with MTN MoMo pay comes, the lucky customers were also drawn to participate in trolley dash shopping worth Shs1million each.

Over 20 customers took part in the shopping experience over the past four
weeks taking home lots of goodies from participating supermarkets in and around the city.

“I had never tried it before but when I did, I wondered why I have been carrying lots of cash to go shopping. When you go to certain parts of town, you are paranoid wondering if someone will take your money. Now I don’t need to carry cash anymore as the service is widely available in shops, restaurants, supermarkets and many other places,” one customer said after her shopping at Kenjoy Supermarket in Nansana.


MTN MoMo pay is the telecom company’s mobile payment platform that allows customers to pay for good s and services directly from their mobile money accounts at no cost to the customer.

Retailers and businesses receive the payments for the goods and services instantly.


On Saturday, five lucky customers participated in a trolley dash at Kenjoy Supermarket Nansana, bringing the total number of winners to twenty over the past four weeks.

Ali Monzer the General Manager Mobile Financial Services at MTN thanked the customers that have embraced the cashless service.

“This service is quickly being adopted by several of our customers and aagents alike and we are grateful to them for this. We encourage more people to adopt the service because of its benefits and we also continuously work on expanding its reach and bring on more services.”

There were trolley dash shopping experiences at Cynibel
Supermarket in Bunga where 20 customers won shopping worth shs1 million each in a four week period.

The Trolley Dash that started on Saturday January 18, 2020 at Fraine Supermarket in Kigoowa, had 3 lucky winners walk away with shopping worth UGX 1,000,000. On February 1, 2020, trolley dash shopping went toShoprite Clock Tower.
