The family of Hope Kemisheshe, a resident of Ifuba Village, Kanyanya Parish, Kikatsi in Kiruhura district is mourning the loss of their daughter, Fortunate Ayebazibwe, who was a pupil of Rweshande Primary School, Kiruhura.
Her body was retrieved Sunday, 50 meteres away from her parent’s home.
However, her body was not in good shape.
The body showed fire burns on the arm, legs, chest and stomach.
There is also reports that she was first defiled and killed.
As a result, the mob, acting on suspicion, lynched a casual laborer in the area identified only as Friday.
By press time, the motive of the gruesome murder could not be ascertained given the suspect in the matter had been killed by mob.
The two bodies were at Kiruhura Health Centre IV for postmortem.
The matter has been registered Vide Kiruhura CRB195/2020 and GEF02/2020 for murder and inquiry respectively.
