The same people started blocking the road, throwing stones, arguing they don’t have Coronavirus and should be let to drink,” an eyewitness said.

However, before they could withdraw from the scene,tThey were informed that a stray bullet had hit Sandra Chemutai, 14, the daughter of Dison Lomo and Justine Chelimo.

Chemutai, according to sources, was hit two kilometers away.

“The RDC and her team went and picked the victim who was first taken to Ikram Doctor’s clinic at Kapchorwa from where she was referred to Kapchorwa main hospital and later to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital to have the bullet which was still stuck in the left side of her neck removed,” a source said.

However, Oyamo was detained, his gun recovered and exhibited.
