Day One of Private Transport as Uganda Gets 31 New COVID-19 Cases, Infections Now at 253

Day one of private means of transport returning after over 60 days of shutdown, the Ministry of Health has confirmed 31 new cases of Coronavirus.

This, after May 26, 2020 tests that caught 23 new cases from Points of Entry while 8 new cases are contacts to previously confirmed truck drivers.

The contacts were under quarantine at the time of test.

Meanwhile, 20 positive foreign truck drivers (16 Tanzanians and 4 Kenyans) were handed over to their country of origin.
