The District Police Commander, Ssembabule has been fired.
Assistant Superintendent Police (ASP) Dennis Musinguzi was fired in a reshuffle Wednesday and recalled to the Human Resource Management, Police Headquarters, Naguru pending investigation.
Whereas the message did not highlight Musinguzi’s crime, this news site understands his firing is in relation to mismanagement of political related situations in the district.
The sacking also followed violent situation that led to assault on District Woman Member of Parliament Hanifa Kawooya.
NRM is to hold part primaries across the country on Friday.
Other than Kawooya, other NRM bigwigs involved in the Friday polls are Sam Kuteesa, Theodore Ssekikubo and Sodo Kaguta.
Musinguzi has been replaced by a more senior officer, Superintendent of Police (SP) Dickens Bindeeba, who is fresh from course.
