Lightening kills two pupils in Kasese

Lightening  have struck dead two pupils at Mother Gives Nursery and Primary School and injured yet an unknown number in Kihungamiyagha village, Kyarumba sub-county in Kasese district.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon following a heavy downpour that hit  the area.

The School’s Head teacher, Margret Twikirize told  The Second Opinion  that the incident happened when the learners had just returned to their classes after a lunch break.

According to her, one pupil died on spot while the other died along the way as she was being rushed to a health facility.

She identified the deceased as Janet Mbambu, a 13 year-old pupil in Primary four and Joan Muhindo, who was in primary three.

The incident also left one  teacher, Joy Mbambu with severe pain in the chest.
