Women’s Day: Budadiri East MP aspirant urges leaders to support rural women

Julius Nakiyi, the aspiring Parliamentary candidate for Budadiri East in Sironko district, is championing a call for women in leadership roles to prioritize support for rural women, particularly those facing economic challenges such as hustlers, widows, and single mothers.

Nakiyi emphasizes that women in positions of power should actively work towards uplifting the living standards of women in rural communities who are grappling with poverty and other hardships.

Nakiyi who is also the director Rosewood Hotel Mbale encourages his constituents to participate in the upcoming National Resistance Movement (NRM) registration exercise, highlighting its significance as a prerequisite for involvement in the forthcoming elections. While urging his supporters to engage in the registration process, he also advises his campaign agents to refrain from interfering with the strategies of other candidates vying for leadership positions within the party.

Nakiyi clarifies that he harbors no animosity towards individuals aspiring for top positions within the NRM office in the district, expressing his desire to foster unity and collaboration in local politics explaining that he doesn’t support any of those vying for the top leadership of the party in the district.
