Julius Nakiyi, the Budadiri East Parliamentary candidate, has urged residents to seek proper medical treatment whenever they are sick.
Speaking at the burial of Charles Waniala, a well-known pork vendor in Nkoma, a city suburb, on Monday evening in Bukyabo Sub County, Sironko District, Nakiyi emphasized that the government has built health facilities and stocked them with essential drugs , but to his shock most of the local people still believe in seeking treatment from local harbalists other than going to Hospitals.

“The world has changed and we are now in a different modern century, so why should one and look for herbs to treat a disease that requires modern hospital treatment “ Nakiyi wondered.
Speaking to The Second Opinion Nakiyi revealed that most of his local people in Budadiri need a lot of sensitizations to drop the idea of going for local village herbalists and opt for hospitals because the health centers in most areas could manage minor complications.
He noted that Health facilities in Budadiri East constituency are equipped to test for and detect minor complications something he encourages people to access other than local herbs.

He also advised against self-medication, warning that it can lead to many complications including death.
Nakiyi further assured the people of Budadiri East of his intention to run in the 2026 general elections, urging them to vote for a leader who will unite them for development.
Nakiyi who is now the only bull in the political arena of Budadiri East for the 2026 general elections was later showered with praises by several local voters for being close to them during the times when they need him.
