Dr. Tanga Odoi’s son Collins Tanga whose victory as the NRM national youth chairperson was nullified recently has bashed the NRM Tribunal for Election Disputes headed by Counsel John Musiime. He expressed his hanger on September 10,2025 while speaking to the press regarding nullification of his victory by the party tribunal charged with handling election disputes.
He accused the party tribunal of being too biased in its ruling against him yet it is on record that he genuinely won the election for the chairperson of the National Youth League.

Disappointed Tanga who calls himself a rages master told the press that:
“I believe it is not a crime to be a son of Dr. Tanga Odoi, the chairperson of the NRM Electoral Commission. My father neither influenced my victory nor presided over our elections,” he angrily stated.
He also expressed displeasure with his opponent, Brenda Kiconco, whom he accuses of repeatedly misleading the public by alleging that the election results were tampered with on top of alleging that Dr. Tanga Odoi used his position as chairman electoral commission to influence the outcome of the election in his favour

“I strongly disagree with these claims. I firmly believe there was a conspiracy to nullify my victory by the tribunal, but I had remained quiet till today when I spoke about it to the press. The voters are still there, and I am confident I will win the rerun. My opponent’s only weapon is the propaganda she continues to spread, particularly against Dr. Tanga Odoi, falsely claiming he interfered with the elections to favour me.”

Meanwhile, early this week, the NRM tribunal nullified Collin’s victory as the chairperson NRM Youth League and ordered a fresh election. The tribunal also directed Dr. Tanga Odoi to step aside, allowing another official to oversee the rerun.
