Police Arrest 3 Burglars In City Operation

A serial burglar has been killed while in action. The deceased was gunned down by a night guard at 3am Wednesday as he fled from his crime scene in Mutungo, a Kampala city suburb.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman Patrick Onyango, the deceased and two others reportedly attacked the homes of Joseph Masiga and Pallorin Kansiime but were sent in to panic by neighbors who noticed them.
The alarm attracted the attention of night guards on duty who then swung into action.
“He shot in the air to warn them but they ran. He shot one who died on spot,” Onyango explained. He added, “Two others escaped. On searching the dead thug, a mobile phone that he had just stolen from one of the victims was found with him and a laptop.”
The body has been taken to Mulago mortuary for postmortem and identification.
