The police in Iganga have ordered for the exhumation of two bodies which were secretly buried in a gazetted rail land.
The said bodies were allegedly removed from a nearby construction site and buried on the rail land.
District Police Commander David Wills Ndawula said residents of Bugumba B village in Iganga Municipality led by the area LC1 defense secretary James Makoho had petitioned him over the matter
He confirmed ordering the exhumation for a befitting burial, following allegations that the secret burial had been ordered by one Gowon Kafeero.
However, Kafeero explained that builders had accidentally exhumed the bodies, and that the secret burial was carried out after he obtained a court order.
Kafeero, who oversees the said construction site, however lashed at those that tipped police saying they are ‘selfish’.
