The Police in Kyankwanzi is investigating circumstances under which a 47-year old man was assaulted to death by his in law.
The motive of killing Aaron Rutesire, a resident of Mugereka Village, Mulagi Parish in Mulagi Sub County, Kyankwanzi is still unknown.
His brother in law identified Emmanuel Mujjabi has been arrested to help with investigations.
“The suspect is alleged to have assaulted the deceased that led to his death. The motive of the assault is yet to be established,” Norbert Ochom, the Regional Police spokesperson said.
He said inquiries Vide Mulagi SD 07/25/02/19 are ongoing while the scene was yesterday visited by scene of crime officers and postmortem to ascertain actual cause of death conducted.
“We are yet to get results of the postmortem. The results will inform our next engagement with you,” he said.
