Grandmother flees with 3-week-old grandchild

The police have kicked off a hunt for an old woman who has been accused by daughter-in-law of stealing her baby.

According to Nusura Namuwaya, 19, a resident of Bukonko in Iganga district, her mother-in-law identified as Madina Nabirye disappeared her baby boy on Monday.

Namuwaya told police at Iganga CPS that her mother-in-law tricked her in to stealing her baby.

Namuwaya is married to Faizal Obira, a builder.

Attempts to locate the ‘thief’ is yet to yield fruits.
