The police have kicked off investigation into the killing of a businessman whose body was retrieved from Kigyabwebi in Kimanya sub-county.
Sources say Muhammad Matovu left home at 8am with money more than Shs3m.
His wife said the deceased was to travel to Kampala to clear balance of a car he recently procured on part pay agreement.
Matovu was however unlucky to reach his destination.
Regional Police spokesperson, Paul Kangave confirmed the incident.
“His body was found with a jacket tied on the head, ropes tied on both hands and legs. He had swollen neck,” Kangave narrated adding the body has been taken to Masaka hospital for postmortem.
“We are following a few leads as we continue with investigations,” he said.
