Police spend Shs96m on criminals, victims

The police spent Shs96, 806, 000 in 2018, The Second Opinion reports.

The money was spent on tracking of criminals and victims.

These monies were spent on murders, rape, defilement, threatening violence, disappearances, threatening violence, kidnaps, cyber related crimes and personation among others.

For instance, the police spent Shs33, 791, 000 on either victim of murder or in bringing the suspect (s) to book.

Shs9, 370, 000 went to cyber related crimes and Shs9, 540, 000 to threatening violence.

Others were; disappearances (5, 705, 000) and kidnaps (1, 770, 000).

In total, the police spent Shs96, 806, 000 on tracking criminals and victims.
