The police at Rubanda Police Station are holding three people in connection to the murder of Kenneth Asiimwe, 24.
Frank Ahereza, Medard Tweheyo and Phoebe Tumuheirwe are accused of assaulting the deceased resulting to his killing.
The police say the incident happened Monday morning at Bugandaru village, Kagunga Parish, Bufundi Sub-County in Rubanda district.
Police sources say Asiimwe was attacked by the suspects from their home compound and after his death, they cleaned his body, carried and placed it on his bed with claims he died a natural death.
However, investigators noticed profuse bleeding and upon further interrogation, it was established that he died after an assault.
The motive of his killing remains unknown but police investigations Vide SD 04/16/09/19 of Bufundi Police Station show the matter is still under probe.
