SUICIDE: Police officer shoots self dead

Police officers attached to Kyazanga Police Station are in shock after one of their own shot himself dead.

Well-placed sources say the officer, No. 45095 PC Wilson Kalungi aged 54 chose to end his life after being conned in a fake land deal in Nakaseke.

Part of his money, sources say, the deceased spent on reckless lifestyle involving women in the area.

Regional Police spokesperson, Paul Kangave confirmed the incident but declined to ‘speculate’ on what could have prompted Kalungi to end his life.

By press time, Kalungi’s body was at Masaka Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem to ascertain his actual cause of death.
