Christopher Okello Onyum Sentenced to Death by Hanging Over murdering four toddlers at Ggaba Early Childhood Development Centre.

Okello Christopher Onyum 39 years a Ugadan -American was found guilty of killing the four Gaba little kindergarten children and finally sentenced to death by hanging in a ruling delivered by High court justice Alice Komuhangi   Khaukha.

The Thursday long court session that had a recess from 2;35pm   that resumed at 3;05pm Justice Alice Komuhangi Khaukha read for the convict Okello Christopher Onyum a death sentence for the four counts of murdering the toddlers.

Okello Onyum was convicted after an expedited trial that held near the Ggaba Early childhood Development centre where the April 02 /2026 killings took place.

Lady Justice Komuhangi Alice Khaukha pointed out the gravity of the crime noting that the law allows for the ultimate penality in the most egregious cases.

Before delivering the death sentence, lady Justice Alice Komuhangi Khaukha and court was shocked to learn that Okello was not apologetic to the parents whose children he murdered in cold blood.

“I therefore sentence you Mr. Okello to death for count one of Eteku Gideon , count two of Keitha Agenorwoth, count three of Sseruyange Ignatius and count four of Odeke Ryan” lady Justice Alice Komuhangi Khaukha read the verdict.

 Earlier on Monday  week the defence team representing Christopher Okello Onyum  in the murder of four toddlers at Ggaba Early Childhood Development Centre, on  April 27,2026, closed its defence after failing to produce the two defence witnesses to defend their client.

Led by Richard Kumbuga, defence team informed court that the witnesses’ known phone numbers were unreachable and their addresses were not provided by Okello.

“My lord, the matter today is for defence witnesses, I’ve been informed by the process server, that the intended witness to appear today in court, he couldn’t be found, and the affidavit is on court record” he said.

Kumbuga noted that the same position was discussed with Okello and agreed to close the defence case since the witnesses couldn’t be located to appear before the court.

Justice Alice Komuhangi Khaukha, has adjourned the hearing to give time to the prosecution and defence to present their concluding submissions before judgment is scheduled.

Prosecution states that on of April 2,2026, at Ggaba Early Childhood Development centre, Ggaba trading zone, Ggaba parish, Makindye Division Kampala district, with malice aforethought Okello unlawfully caused deaths of Eteku Gideon, Keisha Agenoroth, Sseruynage Ignatius, and Odeke Rayan by chopping off their heads.

Meatime there jubilations and cheers at court after the death sentence of Okello as members of the public hailed led Justice Komuhangi Alice Khaukha for delivering the best judgment
