By Francis Otucu

A joint security force is holding Adam Maniraguha, the proprietor of Kinkizi Financial Services, a forex bureau in Kanungu Town.

Insiders say Kimberley Sue’s kidnap was prompted by the fact that she exchanged USD8, 000 from Maniraguha’s bureau.

“By the time they went to execute the kidnap, they knew their victim. That should explain why they went for her and the guide, leaving others,” a security source said.

Police spokesman, Fred Enanga earlier confirmed that some people had been arrested to help in investigation.

Whereas he declined to reveal identities of the suspects, we hav since established that other suspects who are now in Kampala for interrogation include; Akimu Tumwebaze, Denis Kyarisima and a one Yoweri.

The arrest now brings the number of those in custody to four.

Kimberley and her guide, Paul Mirenge were kidnapped on April 2, 2019 near Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The duo was help in captivity for five days before being freed Sunday.

The arrest also comes just hours after US President, Donald Trump ordered Ugandan government to arrest and bring to book Kimberley’s kidnappers.

In a tweet yesterday, Trump said Uganda must find the kidnappers of the American tourist and guide before people will feel safe coming to Uganda.

“Uganda must find the kidnappers of the American Tourist and guide before people will feel safe in going there. Bring them to justice openly and quickly!” he tweeted.

Government spokesman, Ofwono Opondo however responded to Trump saying there are many gun deaths than kidnaps in the US than kidnaps in Uganda, adding that all were being done to bring Kimberley’s captors to book.
