Gen Muhoozi Shocked with Atima’s Skills of Mobilization as West Nile Led with PLU Majority NRM Parliamentary Candidates Followed by Northern, Teso while All PLU candidates in Regions of Busoga, Bukedi and Bugisu lost

The Chief of defence Forces and Chairman of the political pressure group Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) cum Civic Organisation Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba was shocked to learn that West Nile region led in fronting the biggest number of members of his PLU organisation in the recent concluded NRM parliamentary.
Gen. Muhoozi hailed his blue-eyed West Nile coordinator the Arua Central City Division member of Parliament Atima Lee Jackson Buti for producing the best PLU results in the NRM parliamentary primaries.
General Muhoozi last week rushed and camped in Arua’s West Nile region following the announcements of the results from NRM primaries for several districts after realising that many of his PLU members from west Nile won the primaries.
However, he went ahead and posted on his X handle congratulating all his PLU members who made it through the NRM primaries.
“I want to congratulate all PLU members who have been victorious in the recent NRM primaries. This has been a long journey. PLU is the very powerful and dynamic youth wing of NRM. It has taken us 10 years to realise our dream. We thank Almighty God” Gen. Muhoozi twitted.
Gen. Muhoozi was also extremely happy to learn that West Nile region led by his blue-eyed skilled mobilizer Hon Atima Lee Jackson Butti performed the best in fronting members of his PLU organisation, followed by Northern Uganda, Teso, some parts of Western region and Buganda while regions like Busoga, Bukedi and Bugisu all the PLU members lost.
“Hon. Atima does not mobilize for himself alone but for the NRM as a party, president Museveni and above all the PLU, his political pressure group that he affiliates to” A source from the PLU told this publication.
PLU was performed from different regions.

West NILE
All the members of the PLU executive from West Nile region won the NRM parliamentary primaries save for one Urombi Emmanuel from Nebbi district.
Atima Lee Jackson Buti the Regional coordinator of PLU in West Nile trounced his closest political rival Dr. Debo Ronald to retain his parliamentary NRM flag for Arua Central city Division, Debo is chairman of national chamber of commerce West Nile but records indicate that politically PLU threw him in river Oru in Terego district.
Information obtained from the PLU head office in Kampala reveal that West Nile PLU general secretary Ababiku Jesca retained her flag for Adjumani district woman member of parliament, Hon. Joanne Okia Aniku the women PLU representative for West Nile won her flag to run for the NRM Madi Okolo district woman MP come 2026 general elections after beating the aera district speaker identified as Faima.
Dr. Charles Ayume son to the former speaker of parliament late Francis Ayume trounced his political rival Sanya Wilson to retain his Koboko municipality NRM parliamentary flag bearer for 2026 general election.
Sanya Wilson is the current mayor of Koboko municipality but the PLU dude Dr. Ayume beat him in the primaries.

Dr. Ayume, a PLU diehard, told the Second Opinion Publications that his good truck records from the family and connectivity to the community, at local level, regional and national levels speak loud for him.
He also attributed the win to good efforts done by the Government to fix some areas of concern like health, roads sector and electricity.
“My winning …i gave it to my best following the good truck records but also Government has put in place an improved health sector in Koboko, the rural power connectivity where we shall start the project of connecting electricity to the rural communities, the roads infrastructure like Nebbi to Arua at least there are indicators to show that soon it will be worked on after finishing Pakwach , then Zombo to Nebbi vura and Paidha. All these are in the national development plan and we appreciate the leadership of the current Government of president Museveni.” Said Dr. Ayume.

Other PLU members who won are Dr. Musa Noar for Koboko North, Hon. Avako Melsa Naima Gule the incumbent woman MP Yumbe and PLU member retained her seat for the NRM flag, Hon Maneno Zumura through hardship beat her challenger Joyo for the Obongi district woman MP NRM flag bearer however, Joyo has vowed to contest on independent ticket.

Joyo is currently rallying the communities to support and fundraise for her to contest as independent come the general election 2026.
In Nebbi district the young youth natitional MP and state minister for energy and mineral developments in charge of minerals Phiona Nyamutoro a minister and PLU member beat the incumbent woman MP Acibu Agnes to grab the NRM parliamentary flag.
PLU also entertained former minister for Gender, Labour and Social Development Zoe Bakoko Bakoru and current MP Feta Geoffrey when they fronted their strong mobilizer Eng. Tiyo William Taylor Odaa who grabbed the Ayivu East constituency parliamentary flag in Arua while Ayivu West Onzima Phiona a strong PLU lady beat the incumbent MP Lematia John to own the NRM party parliamentary flag for 2026 general election.

In lower Madi constituency Hon Ogama Ismail Alli a newly recruited PLU member beat the other three contestants Afidra Olema, Bakole Geoffrey and Atiku Patrick.
Records from PLU headquarters indicate that Atima failed to save his wife Rose Atima Ayaka (PLU) from the hands of Draru Janipher to grab the Maracha district woman MP NRM flag bearer although the same Atime Lee Jackson managed to get some PLU members winning in Maracha East Dr. Candia Tom Aliti who beat his rivals Aduma Yeeko Justus, Adima Patrick, Amandu Tahiri Karim , Edema Bosco, one Lematia and the only lady Ruth Molly Onduru while Maracha West PLU took it won by Uhuru Nelson who is set to tussle it out with the incumbent MP Oguzo Lee (FDC) in the general elections , in Terego district PLU’s Rose Obigah trounced Onyiro Sarah , Terego East Babanga William of PLU beat state minister for local government Obiga Kania and Terego West the game was as usual between former MP Angunu Moses (PLU) and incumbent MP Leku Joel who lost the NRM flag to Angunu.

A detailed report at PLU still shows that their own Lenia Charity Kevin, a former guild president at MUBs Kampala and a PLU member beat Adriko Yovan the incumbent MP for the NRM parliamentary flag for Vurra county in Arua .
Northern Region
PLU after massively winning several parliamentary NRM flags from West Nile went ahead and picked some remnants from Northern Uganda MP Ojara Martin Mapenduzi a politician journalist won his party flag for Gulu city West division while state minister for relief Lilian Aber won her flag for Kitgum district woman MP slot.

Health minister Jane Ruth Achieng (PLU) won the flag for Lira city woman MP while Adome Francis won the flag in Karamoja, state minister for Education in charges of sports the Ngariam county MP Peter Ogwang and PLU coordinator Teso sub region won his flag too from Teso while in Buganda region PLU snatched Joseph Kakooza from greater Mubende , minister for Emyooga Haruna Kasolo (PLU) got his NRM flag from Great Masaka area the popular PLU mouth piece David Kabanda grabbed his parliamentary flag for Kasambya county , Aine Sodo Kaguta brother to president Yoweri Museveni has his flag already untempered for Mawogola North county after the incumbent MP Shartsi Namatovu Musherure Kutesa daughter of former minister Sam Kutesa accepted to give it to him without contesting for primaries.

In Western region Micheal Mawanda, the regional coordinator of PLU from that region, won his Igara East parliamentary flag , Rtd Brig. Emmanuel Rwashande (PLU) beat the long serving Lwemiyaga county MP Theodore Ssekikubo to grab the NRM parliamentary flag for the 2026 general election.

In Eastern Uganda all the PLU members and regional coordinators who contested for the NRM party parliamentary flag lost.
From Jinia city Kanu Dan (PLU) lost to Hon Balyeku Moses for the Jinja city South West County. Kanu has spent the whole weekend staging street protests rejecting the outcome of the NRM primaries results from his county, Nathan Igeme Nabeta also affriliated to PLU lost his flag in Jinja city while Zijjan David Livingstone of PLU lost to Lufafa Edwin for the parliamentary flag of NRm Jinja North seat.

The Vocal Journalist and strong PLU member Simon Muyanga Lutaya lost badly in Kaliro district, Kyakulaga Bwino (PLU) lost in Kigulu North County, Milton Muwuma of LPU lost the Kigulu South parliamentary flag to Patrick Kayemba, here in Busoga all the PLU members lost.

In Bugisu sub region Richard Wanda the Bugisu regional coordinator of PLU and MP for Bunghoko Central lost to Mohamood Masaba Mutenyo , Hudu Hussein a popular former RCC Kampala city but later served as RDC Yumbe , RCC Masaka city and Kumi RDC who was also at the forefront of popularising PLU in Bugisu lost the NRM party flag for Mbale Northern city division to Umar Nangoli others are Isma Mukankadi who lost in the same seat in Mbale city.
In Buisia MP Geoffrey Macho lost the Busia Municipality parliamentary flag to Mulemya Ismail Sowed.
