Speaker Anita Among Reconciles Magogo With Ex-Budiope MP

Annet Anita Among the speaker of parliament, finally reconciled Budiope East MP and FUFA president Moses Hassim Mogogo with his longtime political rival Ex-Budiope MP Geoffrey Dhamuzungu.

Anita Among who is currently a darling of Busoga stormed Irundu town council in Budiope East Buyende district to attend the burial of late Mzee Suleiman Abdulah Sooka.

Before burial Anita Annet Among whom now most people in Busoga refer to  as Aisha (AAAA) shocked mourners when she stood and told the gathering that she would not give a speech unless the two political rivals of Budiope East reconcile , unite and agree to move together to develop Budiope East.

Both Ex- MP Geoffrey Dhamuzungu Moses Hassim Magogo had attended the burial.

Anita Among invited Magogo and Ex –MP Dhamuzungu for a reconciliation, they forgave each other over the past political fights and agreed to move in one direction for the development of Budiope East.

Among said it was high time Magogo and Dhamuzungu put aside their political differences to focus on uniting the people and working for the well-being of voters’ concerns in Budiope East.

“Am happy that the two men have wholeheartedly vowed to work together and turn their weapons to fighting poverty, this is what true Leadership is all about “, Among said.

The speaker also delivered a condolence message from President Yoweri Museveni to the bereaved family and asked the people of Buyende to focus on development by putting aside divisive politics, she said that the president knew Mzei Sooka as a respected leader, a man of principle and community role model.

Dhamuzungu asked his supporters to lower down pointing- fingers at Magogo and recognize him as their MP until 2026.

“Am happy for this development because the two of us honestly have not been meeting and sharing any experiences ever since I assumed office as MP for Budiope east”, Magogo said.

However,Saida Babirye said the two leaders had no big problem but their supporters ignited the issue and use it as a survival venture but now that Magogo and Dhamuzungu are together some of them are not happy.

Anita Among’s efforts were acknowledged for harmonizing the two unbecoming men who direct the political destiny of Budiope East constituency.
