The Police’s Advisory Committee has recommended world champion, Joshua Cheptegei, for promotion.
The recommendation follows a series of world records broken by Cheptegei, who, to date, is at the rank of Inspector of Police (IP).
However, after lifting Uganda’s flag high up, the committee wants Cheptegei promoted to the next rank, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
It remains to be seen whether the recommendation will be approved by the force’s top authorities.
