15 Congolese held over illegal fishing in Uganda

UPDF’s Fish Protection Unit has finally handed over 15 Congolese fishermen to Katwe-Kabatoro Police Station.

This after Wednesday arrest on Lake Edward.

Sources privy to the operation say the suspects did not possess valid license yet were fishing on Ugandan waters.

The suspects arrested Vide CRB 234/2019 are; Kasereka Masinda, Muhindo Kasau, Mumbere Mboho, Muhindo Kyabiro, Kakule Malero, Muhindo Emmanuel, Muhindo Lusenge, Kambale Ginga, Kasereka Javie, Paluku Katina, Muhindo Masivie Kambere Kasongwele, Kasayi KaserekaJavi Paluku Katina, Mumbere Victori and Kacuba Mukobere.

They are all said to be from Kyavinyonge Landing site in Kivu North in the DRC.
