A total of over 400 people accessed free medical services courtesy of the Pakistan healthcare foundation Ltd hospital Ntinda, a gesture the beneficiary community appreciated.
The day long medical camp was held 29th November 2025 at their facility along Semawata Road Ntinda where a dozen medical surgeons drawn from Pakistan, Somalia and the Sudan carried out medical tests, consultation and minor surgeries among other medical services.
The foundation chairman Mohmood Zaffar observed that their initiative to Partnering with medical specialist surgeons from Pakistan, Somalia and Sudan among other friendly countries was a deliberate effort to offer free medical services to people with medical challenges both local and residents from international communities.
Zaffar noted that they have so far offered such medical services to over 7,000 in the recent past and this particular camp has been attended by over 400 patients.
He commended the government of Uganda for providing the conducive environment which has enhanced their ability to mobilize resources for the medical camp, a gesture of giving back to the community in which they live, serve and work respectively.
The foundation director Sarfraz Ali revealed that soon they would be importing medical equipment and related accessories to carry out surgeries on identified patients and urged the locals of the surrounding community to visit the hospital for medical treatment.
He thanked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for granting their nationals an opportunity to engage in business and pay taxes for the development of the country’s economic agenda, saying they in turn use part of the profits for charitable services.
The chairman of the Sudan doctors for peace and development [SDPD] Nagi M Mugzoub appealed to the community of the international development partners to reconsider the decision to hold back or suspend the social services offered to the refugee’s community in Uganda which has reportedly impacted on them negatively.
Nagi explained that ever since the donor community pulled back or cut down on the relief items meant for the refugee
Population in Uganda including food, medical and other critical social services, their people are suffering.
He noted that Uganda is home to over 80,000 refugees staying at Buyale and Kiryandongo settlements displaced due to ongoing war back home who have been affected by this policy shift.
The Nakawa district NRM chairperson women’s league Irene Kusiima flanked by Kalibala Abdu the NRM Kampala district secretary General who jointly lobbied for the medical camp thanked the government for creating an enabling environment that has allowed their friends from the Pakistan community to work in the country.
Kusiima noted that such peaceful coexistence had enabled them as local politicians to engage and lobby for critical social services that has benefited their communities.
Kusiima is a renowned gospel music artist and proprietor of the T -star restaurant in Ntinda. Pledged to strengthen their relationship with the foundation in ensuring that their corporate social responsibility [CSR] benefits their citizens.
