Patrick Mweheire quits Stanbic Bank Uganda, replaced

Stanbic Bank Chief Executive, Patrick Mweheire has been promoted and named Regional Chief Executive, Standard Bank Group, this news site has learnt.

He replaces recently retired Greg Brackenridge.

Mweheire’s new mandate will be to among others, oversee Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan and Ethiopia portfolios.

On the other hand, Ann Juuko has been named his successor.

These appointments takes shape starting March 1, 2020.

Juuko joined Stanbic Bank Uganda in 2012 as Executive and Head, Global Markets.

Currently, she heads Corporate and Investment Banking at Standard Bank Namibia.

“We extend our appreciation to both Patrick and Ann for their contribution to the Standard Bank Group in their respective roles. Please join me in congratulating them on their appointment to their new roles and wishing the teams they will lead the greatest success,” part of the bank’s statement issued Tuesday reads in part.
