ARUA: Man commits suicide after killing wife

The police at the Central Police Station, Arua are investigating two deaths in a family where the husband murdered his wife and later committed suicide over domestic violence.

Well-placed sources say the incident happened Saturday night when locals woke up to the body of Stella Chandiru, 24, at Orevu Village, Aya Parish, Ajia Sub-County in Arua District.

William Odeliti, 27, is said to have killed his wife and on realizing that he was being hunted down by locals, he chose to hang himself by a chain.

The police say the double bodies are at Arua Regional Referal Hospital for postmortem while the matter has been recorded at Ajia Police Post Vide SD ref: 05/15/03/2020.
