NUDIPU TO MUSEVENI: Involve us in fight against COVID-19

National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) has in a Wednesday message to President Yoweri Museveni appealed to him for an inclusion in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

“We would like to appeal to H.E the President, the COVID-19 taskforce and the Health Ministry to be disability inclusive in the pronouncements and programmatic approaches at this difficult time. Persons with Disabilities are so vulnerable due to their status of disability especially during this time of the pandemic,” reads part of Edson Ngirabakunzi’s message.

Ngirabakunzi is the Chief Executive Officer, NUDIPU

He, however, applauded the President and, COVID-19 task force and the Ministry for the job well done, so far.

“National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) an umbrella organization of Persons with Disabilities in Uganda appreciates H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni the President of the Republic of Uganda, COVID-19 Task Force and Ministry of Health for the elaborate strategies for curving and reduction in the rate of infection of the virus,” he said adding, they are available for consultation.

“We are available for consultation as we join hands to fight this pandemic,” he noted.
