Wednesday afternoon political pressure group, People Power, a group identical to Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu named Dr. Lina Zedriga Waru Abuku Vice President of the movement.
The announcement was made at group’s offices in Kamwokya, a city suburb of Kampala.
An insider has, however, described Abuku as an accomplished politician, lawyer, judicial officer, lecturer and peace advocate.
According to the source, Dr. Abuku holds, among other academic credentials, a Master of Arts Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies; a Master of Arts Degree in Human Rights; a Bachelor of Laws Degree; and several other academic credentials attained at some of the best Universities in the world including Harvard University.
“She is a visiting resource for the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University; and the Elliot School of International Affairs at George Washington University. Most welcome our second-in-command,” a source said.
Sources say Dr. Abuku also has an eye on Vvura Consituency in the 2021 general polls.
