DEAL GONE BAD! Kenyan businessman loses Shs45m, Truck In Arua Robbery

On June 11, 2020, Kenyan businessman, Emmanuel Oga, 34, left his country for Uganda.

This, in company of his driver, Ugandan, identified as John Ojuka.

The pair entered Uganda on June 12, 2020 and drove to the West Nile district of Pakwach.

The mission was to procure grains.

While there, his driver left him, to look for grain dealers.

Well-placed sources say the driver returned at 7pm of June 12, 2020.

Upon his return, he told his boss (read Oga) that he had secured produce.

The pair started the car and headed for the ‘store’.

They took to Panyimur Road in Arua.

However, while driving, the driver stopped abruptly in the middle of the road.

Four people emerged from the bush.

Armed with machetes, they ordered the driver off the truck. They also ordered him to surrender everything in his possession.

Investigators say Ojuka left behind his passport, two smartphones and a national identity card.

Ojuka’s stuff had no money. They asked for it.

It is then that Ojuka looked at his his boss, with mercy. His boss had Shs45M stacked in his pockets.

Oga handed in the money.

He was, however, injected with an unknown content and forced to drink an unknown substance. This left him unconscious.

Against the above background, the thieves drove off with a truck registration number KBB 112B  

The police say victim of the June robbery regained conscious on June 17, 2020 at Packwach Health Centre.

No arrested have been made yet.
