Sironko Woman MP Nambozo in tears as her core task force crosses to rival Lumolo camp

Reports from Sironko district reveal that Buckets and buckets of tears are being whipped off the face of Sironko district woman MP Flowrence  Nambozo Wamala Mayoga after her entire core task force team headed by Dison Balayo quit  her and joined  the camp of her long time political rival Haji Sulaiman Lumolo Mafabi and Asha Nabulo Mafabi.

The sad incident in the face of Nambozo took place ahead of the NRM internal party grassroot elections where Nambozo had declared to unseat tycoon Hajji Lumolo Mafabi for the position of Sironko district NRM chairperson.

The top strategic and core planning team of Nambozo headed by Balayo Dison who is the councilor representing Sironko town council at the district, Gimei Cylan , Gidudu Isma, Ashiraf Ashaba the man behind media mobilisation and campaigns and many others crossed and joined Mafabi Lumolo and his daughter Asha Nabulo Mafabi last week.

Immediately after quitting team leader Balayo went and posted on several social media platforms that two terms are enough to serve under Nambozo and that they had trained young people who need opportunities to work under the woman MP.

“For the ten years that i have been with the team there are many young stars that i  have mentored to carry on with the responsivities to accomplish what i was not able to add , i trust they are gonna do a job for Mayi Nambozo, my departure gives opportunity to implement the skills that they have attained under my leadership .there is no cause for the alarm my brothers” read parts of the posts by  Balayo”.

However, while speaking  to the Second Opinion, Balayo vomited venom over Nambozo’s failure to respect the NRM party principles and regulations, he also accused her of creating ground for division instead of moving for reconciliation in order to  whip out opposition in Sironko in the district.

“Nambozo misled us when she lost the NRM party flag  to Asha Nabulo Mafabi  and instead contested on an Independent ticket, now she is again basing on her independent ticket to confuse the NRM party which we have rejected” Balayo said.

He said that Nambozo acts on decisions made by her without consulting others , adding that when she announced contesting against Lumolo Mafabi for the chairperson NRM party Sironko district we refused her because she was laying another ground of party division other than unity which could again pave way for the opposition to take back Sironko district.

“We are for  Lumolo Mafabi for the NRM party chairman so that he consolidates the NRM party development and manifesto implementation while we are also for Asha Nabulo Mafabi for the Sironko district woman MP come 2026 becuse she is the one with the party flag and gearing for the support and development of the common person in the villages”.

While for Ashaba Ashiraf the veteran  political journalist who was behind the media and other mobilisation of Nambozo said that time for Nambozo ended the day she opted to reject the NRM party ideologies and went for independence.

Ashaba revealed that as the core team they have tried talking to Nambozo to reconcile with Lumolo and Asha Nabulo but she just put a deaf ear.

“We can not continue fighting and dividing our people in Sironko because one person on an independent ticket wants to destroy the NRM party principles and then we keep watching, time has come to throw her out of the politics of Sironko” Ashaba said.

He said that they have worked hard to  even coordinate with the higher authorities to accept Nambozo the way she is but even the top Government officers have realised the weakness of Nambozo and everyone is giving up . Ashaba added.

MP Nambozo was embarrassed.

Last week while Global secondary school in  Mutufu sironko district were celebrating the best performance of the UACE results, shockingly they invited Asha Nabulo Mafabi as the guest of honor and also invited in attendance the area woman MP  Nambozo Flowrance Wamala Mayoga .

During the function Nambozi spoke like any other person unlike Asha Nabulo who was guest of honor .

Those attending told us that during the function the entire core team of Nambozo which had crossed to Asha Nabulo’s camp attended and declared publically in the presence of Nambozo that they left her camp.

The embarrassment according to those close to Nambozo forced her to disappear from the function incognito and in the process left behind her driver Allan Wonambwa and bodyguard Nabutewa Joshua who were later rescued after   Asha Nabulo gave them transport back to their respective areas.

Nambozo Speaks out.

Meantime we reached out to Nambozo Flowrence  to get her take on the situation and instead she said that wishing them the best.

“God knows who my core team is. He instructs and commands it, there was no embarrassment, that is how I feel , my opinion doesn’t matter, they have courted them for a long time and they can not tell you the truth. But they have made a decision to let them go and be trusted wherever they have gone. They have chosen their path and said enough and are probably still saying….” Nambozo ranted on her side.
