Bugahya‘s Pius Wakabi Silences Former RDC  Tumusiime in NRM Elections

The NRM election disputes tribunal silenced the political cries between Pius Wakabi and his bitter opponent Amlan Tumusiime who had competed for the Bugahya constituency seat in Hoima district.

The tribunal seating at Kyadondo in Kampala finally  declared the incumbent member of parliament Pius Wakabi as the winner of the recently conducted NRM parliamentary primaries polls.

The tribunal learnt through its investigations that the district registrar made a mistake  when he first declared Tumusiime as winner but when Wakabi’s supporters protested the results he quickly declared Wakabi as winner which incident heightened tensions prompting Tumusiime to petition the tribunal.

However,  the tribunal upheld the victory for Wakabi saying he was the duly elected flag bearer of the NRM for the Bugahya constituency in Hoima district which development Wakabi welcomed saying the tribunal had finally settled the tensions which had reached breaking point and he urged Tumusiime who is the former RDC kikuube district to join him for the good of the party..
