Entebbe Municipal Council Acquires Modern Motor Grader

Entebbe Municipal Council, has procured a modern motor Grader through it’s locally generated revenue within Entebbe municipality. 

The Entebbe Municipality Town Clerk, Emmanuel Gacharo Mugisha, believes that the Komatsu GD655-5 motor Grader is a huge addition to the municipal’s agenda of road maintenance and it’s development efforts towards improving road network infrastructures within the municipality.

He noted that following the acquisition of the new motor Grader, the issue of lack of road equipment is no more and that locals should expect better roads and services during his tenure in office.

He revealed that the new modern Grader was procured from Victoria motors after council got positive feedback from its sister local governments who bought the same type of grader from the same company.

He adds that following a fair open bidding, Victoria equipment outcompeted other companies (bidders).

” We congratulate Victoria Equipment for their successful bidding. The company satisfactory met our technical and financial requirements hence emerging the best out of the others, ” Town Clerk Mugisha explained.

He further said that the acquisition of the modern Grader is a significant milestone for Entebbe Municipal Council because before council hasn’t had a grader bought using money generated from local revenue adding that the one council had was given to it by the government.

He appreciated taxpayers who have endeavoured to pay their taxes promptly, reiterating that the new modern Grader was bought using locally generated revenue.  Town Clerk Mugisha is hopeful that council will be able to maintain the machine in good condition. He pledged to procure bigger things, which align with council’s vision of having a fully fledged road equipment/ road unit.

In conclusion, he said in future council intends to acquire more equipment including; a compactor, Roller, excavator, lawelloda and water bowser. He said all this equipment are needed to improve road network infrastructures within the municipality.
