Kateregga Is Makerere’s 85th Guild President

Makerere University Electoral Commission last night declared Julius Kateregga 85^th Guild President.

Kateregga (People Power) of Bachelor of Arts with Education II beat rivals Joshua Mukisa (Independent) and NRM’s Julian Taliwaku.

Kateregga polled 3912 votes compared to Mukisa’s 3365. Only Taliwaku came close in third position with 1465 votes.

University Vice Chancellor, Prof Bernabas Nawangwe congratulated Kateregga and pledged to work with him.

“I congratulate Kateregga Julius of Bachelor of Arts with Education II upon being elected the 85th Guild President of Makerere University. I look forward to working with you to make Mak greater,”
