Varsity student killed in city armed robbery

Rafael Walugembe, 23 a third year student of Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi is among two people shot dead in last night’s armed robbery in Nateete, Kampala.

Walugembe was driving his sister’s car registration number UAY 480U when a stray bullet from a robbery scene hit him.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango said Walugembe was leaving his father house to go and sleep at the sister’s who is currently admitted, when he was hit by a stray bullet.

A matter of murder and aggravated robbery Vide SD 62/14/5/19 has been recorded at Nateete Police Division as a hunt for assailants continue.

By press time, his body was still at the Mulago mortuary for postmortem.v
