The police have taken for postmortem a lifeless body of a man in Katikandegeya Village, Kitumbi Sub County in Kassanda district after he committed suicide Wednesday morning at ex-wife’s house.

Julius Kakande is said to have separated with wife Ruth Namuddu after a series of domestic misunderstandings.

However, at 1:30am yesterday, he visited his ex-wife’s home with a hoe and with intent to hack her.

She was lucky to escape to the local defense secretary.

Coming back with the authorities however, Kakande had committed suicide.

Regional Police spokesperson Nobert Ochom confirmed the incident.

His body lay at the Kasanda Health Center IV for postmortem.
