The police are reportedly hunting down three Spanish nationals over an alleged poisoning of their to-be business partner.
Sapena Torres Raul whose residence is Valencia, Atance Garcia Victor, a resident of Madrid and Turegano Martines Jose Carlos of Valencia reportedly had a business meeting with their Ugandan counterpart, Peter Sebuiba last Friday night at Genuine Hotel in Busega in Rubaga Division, Kampala.
“The meeting was over a drink,” a source said adding, “However, after some time, 3 whites guided their colleague to a hotel room. The trio later drove away.”
It was on Saturday morning when Ssebuliba was reported unwell and unconscious. “He was rushed to Busabala Nursing home where he got first aid before he was transferred to Mulago National referral hospital for further management,” a source noted.
This mater, insiders say has been reported at Nateete Police Division.
Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman said he was yet to verify the matter and get back to us.
By press time, Onyango was yet to get back to us.
Sources familiar with the matter have however confirmed to us that the police are waiting for Ssebuliba to regain his conscious so as to give his account on the nature of the meeting, content and circumstances leading to his ‘poisoning’
The Spaniards, now on the run are said to be in hiding at a home of a one Emma, a city businessman.
