Court dissolves Traffic boss marriage, granted children custody

By Francis Otucu

Makindye Family Court has dissolved marriage between Kampala Metropolitan Police Traffic Commander, SSP Norman Musinga and estranged wife Esther Kyinkuhaire, bringing to an end a 10-year marriage.

Making a final order recently, Grade 1 Magistrate, Allan Gakyaro, also granted him custody of his three children; Given Atuhaire (Minor), Gavin Aine (Minor) and Gabriella Birungi (Minor).

No costs was awarded.

SSP Musinga and Kyinkuhaire got married on July 17, 2010 in a lavish wedding at Namirembe Cathedral before hosting their guests at Hotel African in Kampala.

However, like in many of prominent marriages, the Musingas developed misunderstandings about 2015.

This prompted Musinga to rush to court, filing for divorce, through his lawyers of Kampala Associate Advocates (KAA).

The matter was recorded Vide 24 of 2016.

Kyinkuhaire’s attempt to block dissolution of their marriage and also get hold of children failed to materialize.

Meanwhile, close family sources say Kyinkuhaire has since been attempting to steal kids from school so as to get custody of their children, illegally.

This, on top of raiding Musinga’s KMP offices to cause commotion, petitioning Traffic Director, Dr. Steven Kasiima and Children Minister, Nakiwala Kiyingi.

Despite her tantrums, however, Musinga is laughing last and loudest after court satisfactorily dissolved the marriage and granted him full custody of the children.
