The defeated state minister of works Musa Ecweru has turned up at Kyadondo to hand in his election loss petition to the tribunal saying he was not happy with the whole election debacle.
Ecweru who pulled up at Kyadondo in his official ministry vehicle UG3800089 walked straight to the election tribunal tent and without mincing words handed in his petition before later speaking out to the press.
He was defeated by Sam Ediau who garnered 29,352 against Ecweru’s 19,977 for the Amuria county in Amuria district Teso sub region.
He said that he had never witnessed an election were children aged seven years old can also actively be deployed to vote at gazette polling centers without shame.
He threatened that if justice was not obtained at the tribunal, he would re-contest as an NRM party leaning candidate such that he can effectively reclaim his grabbed victory.
‘I was shocked to see children as young as seven years old lining up to be counted by the election officials with a lot of ease and comfort yet it was criminal and unacceptable under the NRM election guidelines’ lamented the visibly disappointed minister who immediately drove away at breakneck speed.
