GLOBAL CALL  FOR BAN ON  MUSLIM  BROTHERHOOD MOVEMENT Acknowledge its global threat to peace and security.   By Our Correspondent in the Hague   HAGUE  – Sunday , November 23, 2025   A coalition of European and international organizations with more than 70 people gathered today Sunday  in front of the International Criminal Court to condemn Muslim Brotherhood infiltration in Europe. This follows  the French and the Belgian intelligence reports as well as the EU report launched on November 20, 2025 in the European Parliament which shows the financing of Muslim Brotherhood activities indirectly EU taxpayers. This action contributes to the international movement for the official designation of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization, in accordance with the legislation in force in the United States and in countries such as Austria, Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Numerous reports from intelligence agencies and parliamentarians indicate that Muslim Brotherhood incites violence, encourages radicalization, and recruits young people to participate in conflicts in Africa and Asia (Nigeria, Pakistan, Bangladesh). The Muslim Brotherhood does not represent true Islam but supports extremist ideologies and networks . Prominent European experts and human rights defenders delivered inspiring speeches in front of the International Criminal Court calling to ban Muslim Brotherhood movement . The international conference also  showed the movements’ global threat to peace and security. Dr Julio Levit Koldorf highlighted that “Islamism pervades here in Western Europe, infiltrating public speech and aligning itself…with oddly enough left-wing movements… which paradoxically they defend a totalitarian ideology that opposes democracy, human rights, gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights and obviously secularism. The West faces an ideological crisis, with so-called “woke progressives” blindly enabling a movement responsible for mass casualties from Madrid, Barcelona to Paris, London, Brussels, Berlin and beyond. Interpol reports more than 100 jihadist attacks in Europe just in the last 10 years.  Mr Henry Van Bommel, former Dutch politician and public affairs advisor at GHRD  said the movement’s strategy involves a long-term, multi-stage plan to achieve its goals, including  creation of an effective and stable Islamic movement and  presentation of Islam as a civilizational alternative to the West. “This includes a “civilizational-jihadist process” aimed at eliminating Western civilization from within through ideological influence and political engagement, “ he said. Mrs Fahimeh IlGhami ,Iranian-Belgian women’s activist and city councillor in Belgium called on the EU institutions and the International Criminal Court to ban Muslim Brotherhood movement and put IRGC on the terrorist list. She said both represent an international threat beyond the borders of MENA or South Asia . Mr Ramon Rahangmetan, Co-Founder of Circle of Sustainable Europe stressed the fact that he wanted make something absolutely clear. “ This is not a speech about Islam. It is not a speech about Muslim communities, who are essential and valued members of our societies. This is a speech about a political movement, one that several European intelligence agencies identify as a long-term, structural, ideological threat to democratic Cohesion,” he said. Mrs Tarana Faroqi ,an expert on Migration and development  said that their objective is not to target any community, faith, or political opinion. Europe’s commitment to freedom of religion and freedom of association is unwavering. “When an organization regardless of its ideological label engages in covert financing, intimidation, infiltration of public institutions, or the promotion of extremism, the law must respond,”She said. All the speakers and the participants reiterated their commitment and engagement for peace and unity between the different ethnic and religious groups in society in Europe and beyond. They said there is need to fight together against separatism and hate as well as preserve  freedoms and values that could be threatened by the rise of political Islam. Participants stressed the fact why an urgent action is needed to protect  societies and the future generations. ends

Audit Report Implicates Uganda Airlines in Shs.9.8 billion Air ticketing Scandal

By Sadique Bamwita

Entebbe

A confidential audit report has exposed conflict of interest scandal at Uganda Airlines, revealing how travel agencies linked to a senior airline official allegedly channelled almost all sales of the carrier’s cheapest tickets, earning close to Shs9.8 billion in the past three years.

The Auditor General’s Special Audit Report on Revenue Management and Aviation Fuel Management for FY 2021/22–2023/24, indicates that Mrs. Doreen Nambatya Mulindwa, the airline’s Fares and Distribution Executive, failed to disclose her direct ties to Nyanza Tours & Travel, a leading agent in the sales of discounted fares.

Nambatya is married to Mr. Stanley Mulindwa Matembe, the agency’s proprietor, and she formerly worked with the firm before joining Uganda Airlines in 2019.

“The failure to declare such a material conflict undermines transparency and creates the potential for preferential treatment,” the report reveals, highlighting a violation of the airline’s own Conflict of Interest Policy.

Domination of Discounted ticket Fares:

Audit findings indicate that Nyanza Tours & Travel and its affiliate, Nyanza Tours and Tours 2, virtually dominated ticketing in the lowest economy classes.

The two agencies together sold 13,000 tickets, commanding 92.3% of all X-Class (deeply discounted economy) and 72.1% of all Q-Class (discounted economy) allocations.

Nyanza Tours & Travel: 7,393 tickets issued, controlling 57.9% of X-Class and 30.86% of Q-class. Nyanza Tours and Tours: 5,606 tickets issued, controlling 34.39% of X-Class and 41.28% of Q-Class.

In comparison, all other accredited agents combined accounted for less than 8% of X-Class and just 28% of Q-Class tickets.

“The disproportionate allocation of discounted fares to Nyanza Tours & Travel and its affiliate has raised serious concerns about fairness, transparency and accountability in fare distribution,” the report concluded.

Meanwhile, the two agencies jointly generated Shs 2.7 billion in FY 2021/22, Shs 3.2 billion in FY 2022/23, and Shs3.9 billion in FY 2023/24, bringing their cumulative sales to Shs 9.8 billion (about USD 2.6 million). In some years, they outperformed all other agents combined in discounted ticket sales.

Airline’s Response:

In reaction, Uganda Airlines maintained that discounted tickets are distributed fairly through global distribution systems accessible to all agents.

Management further attributes Nyanza’s dominance to its clientele base, particularly “price-sensitive traders and transporters.”

However, the airline conceded weaknesses in its disclosure mechanisms and pledged to introduce annual conflict-of interest declarations for staff in sensitive roles.

On the other hand, the Auditor General recommended the establishment of a fare allocation monitoring framework to track agent-level sales, identify anomalies, and enforce strict accountability.

Governance Concerns

The findings come at a time when Uganda Airlines is already under parliamentary and public scrutiny over alleged irregularities in aircraft procurement, leasing arrangements, and fuel supply contracts.

For aviation analysts, the audit highlights a serious governance gap.

“When one family-linked agency is allowed to corner 92% of the cheapest tickets, it stops being competition. It becomes capture,” An expert expressed concern.

The auditors further warned that Uganda Airlines’ credibility risks being eroded unless corrective measures — including disciplinary action for failure to disclose conflicts are urgently implemented.
