Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Presidential candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat has said he has not been able to recover his shoes, which he says were taken by the police during his nomination on Tuesday when he was grabbed and forcefully transported to the venue by the police.
“I have not seen my shoes, which were taken by the police and I now declare they are a property of the police,” he said.
As a result, Amuriat said, because of the treatment, the police meted on him, he will be campaigning without shoes.
“I will run a barefoot campaign and it will resonate well with my people,” he said.
He said he will not put on shoes till the end of January when he expects to end his campaign trail.
