Last night, the Police’ Flying Squad shot dead two people in a foiled armed robbery at Lusaka, Hoima Municipality.
It was 10pm when a mobile money dealer (name withheld) was returning home.
As she approached home, she was put at gun point by people unknown to her.
However, sources say the Flying Squad team had already been briefed and were trailing the robbers.
But before the thugs could achieve their motive, two were shot dead while two others scampered.
The deceased have been identified only as Moses, a holder of a gun NO. UG POL76897-07297 and his rider named Frank Tumusiime.
Tumusiime was a resident of Kyakabate, Nyarugabo, Bugambe in Kikube district was at the time of his killing riding motorcycle registration number UDX 376E.
The police say their bodies are at the municipal mortuary for postmortem.
