As Busoga still celebrate the historic birth of twin princes and the 11th Kyabazinga’s coronation anniversary that took place on September 13, 2025, at the Igenge, Bugembe headquarters, Jinja City, the kingdom prime minister Dr. Joseph Nsekere Muvawala used the occasion platform and attacked in absentia the first deputy prime minister and minister for East African affairs also the Kamuli district woman member of parliament (WMP) cum mama Busoga Alitwala Rebecca Kadaga telling her to stop using the kingdom in fighting her political battles.

Dr Joseph Muvawala Nsekere asked Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga in particular and other political actors to stop involving the kingdom in their political battles, but fight independently and calm down in case they lose out.
During the commemoration of the 11th coronation of His Royal Highness William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope Kadhumbula IV where a mammoth crowd thronged Busoga Kingdom’s headquarters at Bugembe the Busoga Kingdom premier Dr Joseph Muvawala Nsekere directed an accusing finger to Rt Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga whom he openly blamed for trying to use the kingdom and it’s officials in fighting her political battles.

According to Dr. Muvawala the Kingdom is a non-political institution and whoever vies for any political slot should not shift their failures to the kingdom. he noted.
“If you are defeated, come back to Busoga and keep quiet” , Muvawala told the crowd who kept on asking why Kadaga had not attended the event.
The premier also trashed Minister Sam Mayanja’s orders threatening his (Muvawala) arrest over the evicted squatters who had allegedly encroached on the Kingdom land in Bugembe.
“Those with legitimate documents shall continue using their land while those complaining to have been
evicts should patiently wait for a court ruling from the high court, Muvawala pointed out bitterly, noting Minister Mayanja’s orders as fake.

Represented by the prime minister Robinah Nabbanja, the president of the republic of Uganda Yomweri Kaguta Museveni commended the kingdom for championing unity, peace and development in the region.
“I commend you for working with the NRM government in harmony and championing unity, peace and development in the area”, Mr. Museveni’s message to the Basoga read in parts presented by the prime minister Robina Nabanja.

The Kyabazinga while addressing his subjects called upon all men to be champions and pillars in society by protecting their traditions,
culture, norms and the environment. The king also asked parents to educate the girl child, fight early pregnancies and embrace modern agriculture for food security and income generation.
