Chandiru Dies In Accident, Police Name More Victims

Hellen Chandiru, 38, a resident of Ulepi in Arua is among the 17 persons who died in a road accident on Sunday night. These details are contained in a list provided for by the traffic police at Packwach where the incident Vide Ref TAR 03/2019 was recorded yesterday. Five other bodies remain an unidentified and are at Arua Hospital mortuary. The injured have as well been identified and are currently undergoing treatment at Angal Hospital. The truck driver, Patrick Omony, according to traffic report is in critical condition at Lacor Hospital in Gulu. The incident which killed 17, injuring 10 others happened at 11:35pm on Sunday night at Malara-Panyimur hill in Panyimur sub-county in Packwach district after a truck registration number UAV 118S that was carrying market vendors lost control before overturning.
