Chief Justice convoy crashes dead two in upcountry accident

The convoy of Deputy Chief Justice, Justice Owiny Dollo has in a Gulu accident crashed dead a cyclist and another, a businessman.

The incident, well-placed sources say happened at 5pm on August 19, 2019.

Eyewitnesses say the lead car registration number UG 064J driven by a one Julius Komakech rammed into a Sahara pick-up registration number UAD 874.

The vehicle then slid off the road before knocking dead a cyclist dead.

The deceased has been identified as Saley Webukhuru.

Isaac Wawiyala, the driver of the Sahara pick-up who is a businessman in Gulu town was pronounced dead shortly after the incident.

Eyewitnesses however blame the Sahara pick-up driver for turning in the middle of the road as a speedy convoy approached.

Bodies of the dead remain at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem while the double vehicles are still parked at the Central Police Station, Gulu.
