Christmas: URA Shares Christ’s Love With Orphans

URA celebrated Christmas with the less privileged by donating 443 sacks of clothing and beddings to orphanages.

Beneficiaries included children from God’s Grace orphanage in Nakawuka, Nalongo’s home for children living with HIV in Kyebando, Mercy Care Home in Mbale and Hon. Nakiwala’s Home in Nateete.

Handing over the items, Ag. Manager Public and Corporate Affairs Robert Wamala said, “URA prides in supporting the vulnerable since we work with in the communities.”

URA has over the years taken a social stand to prioritize connecting with communities as a way of effecting social change in different parts of the country. This has helped build public confidence in the organization, create rapport and pave way for compliance within the taxpaying community.

URA staff have been engaged in giving back to communities, in locations in which they have a footprint. For the past 12 years, URA’s philanthropic contributions have left an indelible mark and cultivated good will with its stakeholders. These activities have ranged from environmental protection, providing scholarly materials, providing hospital equipment, cleaning markets, donating blood, and visiting the orphanages among others.
