At 10pm on Saturday night, the life of a 52-year-old man came to an abrupt end.
Fred Magezi was strangled to death at his house located at Karujabura Village, Mwendo Parish Kitumba sub-county, Kabale district.
The deceased had, according to family sources, had a quarrel that evening.
Emmanuel Muramuzi alias Dickson had asked for more land so he can sell for personal use.
His father did not approve of his request.
Sunday morning, his father’s body was found laying lifeless half a kilometer away from his house.
The body laid near his bicycle.
However, a quick probe by investigators led them to Muramuzi.
This, because blood stains dotted from the house to the scene.
It brought a thought that he was killed, body ferried and dumped where it was found.
Against the above background, Muramuzi was arrested.
In his confession, he said his father denied him selling land.
He strangled him, carried and dumped his body away from home.
To this, he is being held for murder Vide CRB 383/2020 of Kabale as his father’s body lay at Kabale Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
