The Commercial Court has summoned Kampala Central Member of Parliament, Muhammad Nsereko, over a botchered land deal in which he was advanced Shs2billion and a Toyota land cruiser.

Initial agreement, sources say, stood at Shs2.9bn.
However, car-dealing company, Aisha Trading Company Limited, owned by a team of Pakistan nationals, alleges that the legislator first sold to them 1.8 hectares in Banda, a Kampala suburb, well knowing that it had a forged certificate of title.
Well-placed sources say the Pakistanis were represented in the deal by Ali Jabar who was accidentally shot dead by his sister at the Kampala Independent Hospital, Ntinda last year.
The company claims when the anomaly was detected, Nsereko offered an alternative piece of land in Mityana district.
The land belongs to the Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF). Upon realizing this, the car dealing company demanded a refund.
However, according to court documents, Nsereko has not honored their request since August 3, 2020. This, insiders say is because Ali, the middleman died late last year. Earlier (July 9, 2019), Nsereko had reportedly agreed to refund the money with an interest of about Shs500m. However, to date, he is yet to positively respond. Nsereko is expected to honor court summon within a period of 15 days.
