The Ministry of health has Monday evening confirmed two deaths as a result of COVID-19 infection.
The confirmation followed a COVID test carried out Sunday on two deaths at Rubaga Hospital, Kampala.
The deceased are Ugandans aged 63 and 33 and according to the ministry, they were admitted at the facility with signs and symptoms consistent with COVID-19.
This now means that Uganda has 15 COVID-19 deaths. Meanwhile, the nation has registered 60 new cases. Of these; 15 are from Kampala, 5 from Namisindwa, 2 from Luweero, 6 from Moroto, Arua, Gulu, Pader, Katakwi and Kasese. There are also 14 contacts of previously confirmed cases.
This brings the cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans to 1,560 with 1, 165 recoveries.
