President Yoweri Museveni has praised Speaker Rebecca Kadaga for the efforts in ensuring that Uganda hosts the 64th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference.
Addressing the meet Thursday at the Commonwealth Resort in Munyonyo, the President said Kadaga has done a lot through Commonwealth Parliamentary Association network.
“These efforts must be the reason we are hosting the CPC in Kampala today. I congratulate her, the Members of Parliament and the Uganda Secretariat of the CPA for successfully organizing this conference and appreciate their hard work,” he said.
The conference running under the theme, ‘Adaption, Engagement and Evolution of Parliaments in a rapidly changing Commonwealth’ will come to a close on September 29, 2019.
Over 1,200 delegates from Commonwealth member states are in attendance.
